Hema Shah, Vice President works at BlackRock in the Client Experience Management Team that covers the iShares and Wealth Business. She has worked for BlackRock for the last fourteen years and in the industry for over twenty years in diverse client service roles, across a number of asset management companies. Last year, she was a successful finalist for the category “Mentor of the Year” in the 2019 Women in Investment Awards. Following her partner’s untimely death during a heroic act, she spearheaded a successful campaign for water safety in her community. The main part of the campaign was related to key safety improvements of waterways, including life rings. She was honored at 10 Downing Street for being a local community advocate.
