Andy was named as Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Global Asset Management (UK) in January 2013. Having started his career stockbroking at Barclays de Zoete Wedd, Andy moved into mutual funds with Henderson before joining HSBC Asset Management for the first time in 1995. He then became Sales Director at Fidelity in 1998. After four years an opportunity arose to launch DWS Investments (a Deutsche Bank subsidiary) into the UK Retail Market. The business was successful and eventually sold to Aberdeen in 2005. Andy returned to HSBC as Head of UK Retail and in 2008 was given additional responsibility for wholesale distribution in the MENA region. In 2011 he became Regional Head of Wholesale, EMEA. In 2013 Andy was made CEO of the UK Asset Management.
