Alex Leay is the Head of Client Propositions for Client Segments at HSBC Global Asset Management. She is responsible for proposition development for Institutional and Wholesale client segments at a global level, alongside oversight of the UK marketing team. With nearly 20 years’ experience as an Asset Management and Financial Services professional, Alex has held positions at Thomson Reuters and The Confederation of British Industry (CBI), as well as a small consultancy firm. She moved to HSBC Global Asset Management in 2007, becoming Head of UK Marketing, before moving to a global role in 2012. Alex takes an active interest in HSBC’s internal Balance network, alongside mentoring programmes and graduate recruitment, supporting the development, advancement and engagement of a gender-balanced workforce within HSBC. Alex holds a BBA Hons from Lancaster University and a post graduate qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
