Gretchen is a Certified and Chartered Financial Planner, Chartered Wealth Manager and Managing Director at Magenta – an award winning, specialist Financial Planning company that believes in delivering Planning with Passion everyday.

Gretchen started her career working with a Financial Planner within an accountancy practice, working up through every role in the profession until she started advising herself in 2006. After studying and gaining her Diploma in Financial Planning in 2009, Gretchen went on to become a Certified Financial Planner in 2014 and a Chartered Wealth Manager in 2015.

Gretchen started Magenta Financial Planning in 2016 with her business partner, Julie Lord. Since launch the business has won multiple awards, including ‘Start up Company of the year 2017’ from the Bridgend Business Forum, Professional Adviser’s ‘Financial Adviser of the year (Wales)’ in 2017 and 2019 and ‘Accredited Firm of the year 2017’ from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI). For the last 3 years Magenta has been listed in the Top 100 Financial Adviser firms, published by New Model Adviser, winning the NMA Adviser firm of the year Wales 2018.

Gretchen is passionate about working closely with clients to understand what they really want from life and to create and implement a Lifetime Financial Plan to help them pursue their passions. Gretchen is President of the South Wales branch of the CISI and was also named ‘NextGen Planners Ambassador’ in 2018.
